Welcome to Quan2m! the Podcast every STEM student should be listening to. Covering everything from what’s going on in the world of science, interviewing people with STEM majors and what they have gone on to do. To talking about finance, careers and business.

In the last episodes we talked about picking your co-founders

Today we will talk about why you should build a personal brand

What is a personal brand?

  • Like a company brand but built around you.
  • Look at Garry Veynerchuck or Kevin O’Leary. They built up a personal brand around themselves so whatever venture they now pursue they will give it the initial boost
  • Actually even Trump tried to do it around himself, but he is an example of doing it poorly since the Trump name is associated with poor quality now

Personal brands aren’t just for celebrities

  • When you think about it most people that have are music and movie industry celebrities
  • Today that is no longer the case. It’s not as exclusive. Your favorite youtuber has a personal brand
  • The entepranours I mentioned earlier have a personal brand
  • etc.

How to approach your personal brand

  • If you are the target audience of this podcast you are somewhere between 15 and 26. You have your entire life ahead of you so the time is in your favour
  • This means you can make content, practice your craft and let the growth be natural.
  • Most youtubers say you need a years and hundreds of pieces of content till their chanel got traction. Look at this the same way. You might blow up tomorrow, but for you slow and steady wins the race

In the next episode we will talk about how to get started
